Located near Port Sanfield on Lake Rosseau, this new cottage was designed to be built on the approximate location of an original muskoka cottage situated close to the shoreline. The client’s project brief was to have a cottage that was “cottagey” in feel and character yet provided all the necessities for a young family and guests.
The design process looked at various plan configurations to suit the client’s needs and the footprint constraints of the site to take advantage of the original structure’s location. The hands-on approach allowed us to work with the client to develop the interiors of the cottage to meet their expectations while coordinating with the builder to review costing.
